How the “So Much to Give” Program Began

SO MUCH TO GIVE is a program launched in late 2021 within Pillars of Light and Love at the Empowering U Center. It was created through the initiative of Maureen Stanko, a teacher with more than 25 years in the Methacton School District and the mother of Nicholas, a young adult who struggles with autism and intellectual challenges. Nicholas is seen on the left, and his younger brother Kenny is on the right. Kenny is currently working on becoming a SPELLER practitioner, like his mom, Maureen. Together they are working with non-speakers who are learning to communicate with their family and friends.

Expanding Our Mission

We opened the beautiful So Much to Give Inspiration Studio in July 2023 with a mission to enrich our community through inclusive public social sessions focusing on art, music, movement, theater and community service in an environment where people of ALL abilities can enjoy meaningful experience together. Classes are open to the general public for ages 15 through adulthood throughout the week and on Saturdays. The classes include evening social activities that integrate with group dinners at the So Much to Give Inclusive Cafe.
